Easter
Our Easter festivities were pretty typical. I only speak for myself though because the girls get SUPER pumped about holidays and Easter is no exception. Even though my enthusiasm for anything exciting is 0% right now, I still did my best to make it special for my little cuties. They are precious. I don't know how I lucked out so much with my kiddos.
On Saturday, we did the Woods Cross City egg hunt. Kendyl ripped into those eggs as fast as she could gather them. She has a candy problem. I've GOT to get that fixed. They also got to make an egg magnet in the gym. They LOVE doing crafts. I'm not the best "crafting" momma- but anything that sticks and needs cut counts.
We colored eggs later that day.

Egg hunt at Grandma's
My birthday party (ya, it was on Easter this year). Nic made the fondant bunny and the girls and I made the cake. We actually just made it for fun a few weeks ago, then I figured we'd freeze it and use it for my birthday. Don't worry, it was still yummy :)
And just so I don't forget. My girls LOVE to peel eggs. I hand them a carton of hard boiled eggs and they peel the whole lot. I have yet to find a shell! So here they are peeling Easter eggs the next day for egg sandwiches....our favorite.

35 Weeks
Here I am at 35 1/2 weeks. I am feeling D.O.N.E. I hate to complain about pregnancy because honestly, I feel so blessed that I'm able to have children and avoid complications. I know alot of people who struggle getting pregnant or holding on to pregnancies and it breaks my heart. I must say though, I don't sail through pregnancy. I seem to get all the nasty symptoms you hear about. The last month I've been dealing with nausea once again, CONSTANT contractions (although I'm not dialated), heartburn, too uncomfortable to sleep (thank heavens my doc has suggested Ambien), shingles on my stomach (most painful thing EVER...and who KNOWS why I got that!), and waddling (baby boy has dropped). I managed to make it to the gym a few days a week up until a few weeks ago when my body just gave up on me....pass is now on hold for a couple months. I think my doctor could sense my misery at my appointment last week. He told me he'd "get things going" in the next couple weeks. I've never had my membranes stripped but I hear it's painful. I don't care. Let's get things moving! We're ready for baby Nixon!

Sweet Brooklyn
Kendyl's Breathing Treat
My poor little girl has MASTERED her breathing treatment. It's just an albuterol nebulizer, but she calls it her "breathing treat". She's actually been asking for it this week while she's been sick. She just sits there and holds the mask on her face the whole time. It takes about 10 minutes. My poor girls have all had RSV as babies and now suffer with mild asthma because of it. The twins have nearly outgrown it. but Kendyl's gets pretty bad in the winter. She catches EVERYTHING and always ends up with crackling, labored breathing. So here's a picture for my memory box!
Bedroom Makeover!
Nic surprised me with THIS when I got back from Vegas. One more reason to love him.
Before
(I have NO pictures of our "before" bedroom. So...., the first picture is our bedding in our Idaho house. The second picture is the ONLY picture I have that shows ANY of my current bedroom. Pathetic, I know. But look how cute those twinners were!)
After
(Not the best picture, but I don't have the energy to walk back upstairs and take another one!)

Viva Las Vegas!
My friend, Natalie, and I went to Vegas for a few days last week! It was a MUCH needed getaway. We went last year and decided it should be a tradition. This year was nice because we flew...I could BARELY sit through the one hour flight, so driving was out of the question. We got a great vacation package through Southwest and were able to stay at the Aria for the 3 nights. Our room was amazing...and we were STOKED about sharing a King size bed ;) Highlights of our trip were:
Laying out at the pool.
*I've chosen NOT to post the picture of my sad body laying by the pool. Yikes.
Eating dinner at Serendipity
Using gift cards to go to the movies and get lots of treats
Singing "Dancing Queen" at an outdoor karaoke bar on the strip. (They required you to have a drink in order to sing. Nat bought me an apple juice :) )
Trying on wigs
Eating at Maggianos
Seeing "Elvis: Cirque Du Soleil" at the Aria. We were a minute late and when the usher walked us in, someone was in our seats! It must have been our lucky day because she ushered us right up to the 6th row and put us in the best seats in the house! Yippee!!! The show was wonderful. Elvis was definitely a looker back in the day.
Gambling away all of our money ;) $3..
Sitting in the hot tub when the wind made laying out unbearable. I got same nasty looks from strangers. Come on people, I think I can figure out when my body has overheated. I am not going to cook my child :)
Walking through the Bellagio a million times (our hotel tram only went that far) and LOVING the displays.
Thanks Dawg for a wonderful trip! April 2012 will be here before we know it! ;)

Nic & Papa hike Escalante
Papa was in Utah last week to hike Escalante in Southern Utah. Nic went with him. Papa's brother, Wade, was the captain of this hike and he had brought along 9 Young Men from his ward (yikes). They hiked for 2 days, trudging through water, squirming through the narrows, and attempting sleep in bear filled tents (maybe the bears were actually Papa and Wade snoring). They actually had a great time and said the scenery was absolutely breathtaking.
