May This & Thats

Summer is in Full Swing!  The girls were asked to serve the food at Shari Coleman's wedding reception.  They took this job very seriously and maybe even ate their weight in treats.  But it was fun watching them haul food out of the kitchen and arrange it so nicely :)  Bike riding has become our number 1 activity now that Nixon has no trainers and Calvy has a big boy bike with trainers.  Ramps, rides to the golf course and around Jessi's Meadow.  It's been fun.

Boating Season!

It's finally here!  Our favorite family activity is going to Pineview and boating.  The water was SO high that there wasn't a whole lot of beach area and it was crowded.  We felt like people were walking on top of us. It was a lot of fun though.  Nixon was excited about skiing and Cal gave it a try :)  Here's to many more boating adventures this summer!  Don't worry, I'll consolidate them :0)

Last Soccer Game

The end of ANOTHER soccer season!  Time just flies.  These kids have improved so much.  Kendyl  is a machine and scored tons of goals this season.  Nixter scored some goals too and learned to run lots faster.  C & B got a lot more aggressive and Cam has finally shown us that she can be somewhat serious about soccer!  haha.  We celebrated by going to station Park and getting Fizz drinks.

Last Day of School!

SCHOOL'S OUT!  One of the greatest blessings in my life is that my kids love school & do well in school.  Fingers crossed for the boys!  4th and 1st grade... it's been real!!

Nixon, the Preschool Grad!

Nixon has LOVED preschool and his friends and teacher, Ms. Mimi!  When he first started, he struggled.  He wanted me to stay and wouldn't even walk in the door alone.  By the second year, he was carpooling with Chase and running out the door in the morning :)  I was so grateful for his courage.  Ms. Mimi even made Nixon the star of their play, "Caps for Sale".  I almost cried.  She would often times pull me aside and tell me Nixon is her favorite.  She thought he was pretty cute. We'll never forget her little stations, cookie decorating, songs and parties.  This kid did well in preschool and I'm sure he'll be great in Kindergarten.  He's already excited :)

Happy 5th Birthday, Nixon!

 This boy is an angel.  He's so polite and loving and fun.  I could eat him up every day.  I'm so sad to see him grow out of his toddler years because he's been so stinkin cute!  At the same time, I know it's time for him to grow up a little and be wild and adventurous.  He's a little guy for his age, but his genetic code says that's right where he should be ;)  He loves to play in the sand box, ride his bike, build with K'Nex, play the Wii, get loved on by his sisters, play with Chase, and give the tightest hugs in the world.  His raspy voice melts my heart and his smile is killer.  I am so grateful for this little boy and just EVERYTHING about him :)

I taught singing in sharing time in primary today since Jessica Pitt was sick.  I let the kids dress me in a funny costume every time they guessed the song.  When I went into the nursery for their singing time, Calvin wanted nothing to do with me.  He sat on his teacher's lap and just stared at me the whole time... Frozen.  After church, I had him on my lap and said, "were you scared of mommy in nursery today?"  He replied, "no, I wasn't scared of you mom.  I love you." ❤️❤️❤️

C&B's UTAH Day

Coolest program day EVER!  I LOVED the songs and actions and floats and EVERYTHING!  So impressed.  And my girls thought of and created these County floats COMPLETELY by themselves.  Cam even papier-mached that hot air balloon and painted it. I tell ya, they don't get these skills from me.

They used to squeeze right through when I'd shew them off the deck..... I think Goldie gained a little weight over the winter 😂

Happy 33rd Birthday to Me!!

What more could I ask for for my birthday than 5 perfect kids who brighten every day of my life.  Oh yeah, and a date with my sexy husband.  A Sunday birthday meant lots of birthday greetings from my ward and a somewhat relaxing day at home :). Camryn made me a beautiful double layered cake that was SO delicious. She is a great little baker.  I also got a yummy banana pancake made by my kiddos :)

Kendyl's Gummy Bear Opera

These first graders wrote the BEST opera! It was so funny and cute and first graderish :). All about stale gummy bears that hadn't eaten since 1985 😂.  Kendyl was so excited for us to see it as they've been working on this 10 minute show for months!  I love this Kendyl Babe and her fun, independent, happy personality. She wanted me to give her flowers but then decided she'd rather have ice cream :)

Calvin's black eye

When brothers have batting practice with tennis rackets.  Nixon may have over swung a bit 😁. Poor Calvin.  He was pretty tough about it.
