Kendyl's Emigration Day

Wow- what an awesome event for these 2nd graders.  They dressed up like an emigrant (they were all given a character with lots of info to memorize), and had to go through the whole process of arriving at Ellis Island.  Kendyl was "Leona Parks".  I helped with this activity and actually felt really sorry for the kids who got deported or made the journey alone or sick!  Ha!  It just felt so realistic.  The culminating activities at this school are unreal.

Brooklyn's Band Concert

Despite her inability to remember to practice, this girl does quite well on the flute.  She's gifted in music.  Lucky girl.  Their band concert was cute.  Good Kind Wenceslaus and Jolly old Saint Nicholas.

Kendyl's Baptism Day

This sweet girl was baptized on December 10th 2016.  Nic baptized and confirmed her.  Kendyl has a very easy going, no-care-in-the-world personality, so getting baptized was an easy choice for her.  I do however, hope that as she gets older, she will learn the importance and significance of the choice she made and the covenant associated with baptism.  We had a little party at my parents' house afterward.  Ate, swam, talked and had a nice afternoon with relatives.  That night, Nic and I took the girls and Dani to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas Concert.  What a perfect day :)

Jim Gaffigan

This honey right here.  Could I love him more?  We got to go on 2 dates already this month!  A BYU-basketball game, and a week later, the Jim Gaffigan tour at the Vivint Arena.  I seriously laughed so hard I was in tears.  We had so much fun together.  I wish we could go out every night.

Smarty Pants Cal

No joke- I played Spot It with my 2 year old and he actually beat me on a few cards.  My favorite though was when he'd say, "Mom, you have the tree!"  and find my match before I could even see it!  Calvin blows me away.

School Christmas concert on Kendyl's Birthday!

And there's my Kendyl Wendyl.  Back row with a hat :)
Can you see Nixon?!  Front row, green vest.

Papa, Grandma and Grandpa came over after the school performance and gave her gifts.  She got scriptures, a dress, a Target gift card, a beautiful baptism dress and a dress for her doll.  Cam gave her a bag of chocolate cinnamon bears.  She wanted cream puffs and pudding for dessert ;)
