Our poor little Kendyl is sick. She was tested positive for RSV on Monday night and we were taken on ambulance, up to Primary Children's Hospital. The doctors said they were pretty scared the first night she was here because she was struggling so much to breath, she was white as a ghost and her sats were so low. She's been more stable since then. She's on an IV and oxygen, she gets her nose suctioned out with a hose every couple hours, gets breathing therapy by pounding on her chest and back 3 times a day, gets albuterol treatments every 2 hours (a mist to open your lungs), and gets her heal pricked a few times a day so they can check her blood gas level. It's so sad. Nic's mom flew in last night to stay with my other sick ones, Camryn & Brooklyn, seeing as my parents are in India for a couple weeks and can't help out. We're SO grateful to have her here to help since Nic has to be at work during the day. We're planning on being here for at least a few more days...but I'll update as things hopefully progress.

Im sorry they are all sick, but it sounds as if kendyl is doing a little better today. If you need me to ever come sit with any of your girls so you and Nic can still get some rest I will. I feel so bad for your little ones. I forgot to tell you about last night Camryn was so cute when she woke up and I was there she kept telling me "baby kendyl sick, I sorry" she is such a little mom.

Okay I am TOTALLY blog stalking right now but i have to post! My little baby who is the exact same age as yours was up at primary's from Friday night till yesterday with RSV! We went to insta care and were also sent to Primary Childrens. I TOTALLY feel your pain, haven't slept in 5 nights! That is just crazy we were there at the same time. I am SOO sorry you had to experience this. I was just telling my hubby how I dont wish this upon my worst enemy. Good luck and know that I am totally in the same boat and know EXACTLY what your going through!
ohh and by the way the Albuteral treatments didn't work for my little guy so I am happy to see they are working for your baby! YAY!! Hopefully you get to come home soon, but she is alot better off there right now, thats what I kept telling myself. Also, ask them to send you home with an oxygen monitor for your own piece of mind. Thats what I did and I leave it on him all night just so I know his stats are normal!
Steff I'm sorry to hear about sweet little Kendyl. I hope she gets better quick. That is great that Melanie was able to fly in to take care of the twins. You are all in our prayers.

Stef! I just want to cry, I hope she gets out soon...I am here if you need ANYTHING, please please PLEASE do not hesitate to call me....even after she is home, if you need some rest and need someone to take the girls for a few hours, just let me know! YOu guys are in my prayers!

Oh RSV is so scary! I am so sorry Stef! Jackson had it too and was in the hospital for over a week, it is not a fun experience! We will be praying for you all!
