8 YEARS OLD!!!

I can't believe it was 8 years ago that these teeny tiny babies were born and changed our lives forever.  I've always wanted twins since I was little.  Beth and I would play dolls and our Samantha American dolls were Sam and Alex.  I would write stories about them and everything.  I remember having that ultrasound and being told I was having twins.  I went numb.  I almost started crying and jumping for joy all at once.  Nic was out of town for work and didn't believe me when I told him, I had to send him the picture of the ultrasound :)  Every day has been a dream with these girls.  They are 8 going on 30.  So responsible. So talented.  So loving and good.  So helpful with the little kids.  So mature and just ahead of the game.  I was truly blessed to be sent these girls FIRST.  It's made having 5 kids much easier.

This year, the girls had another backyard party with LOTS of friends.  We set up the waterslide and let the kids run wild.  I storm came in RIGHT as the party was ending...thank heavens.  They will be baptized in August once Sean is home from his mission.

Brooklyn- Brooklyn can hardly keep up with all her personal demands.  She never stops reading.  She practices her piano every day.  She has memorized all the states and their capitals and their nicknames.  She practices her gymnastics all the time.  It's like there isn't enough time in the day for her to accomplish everything she has on her agenda!  She'd better be a rocket scientist someday :)
Camryn- Camryn is my street smart little girl.  She just seems to "get things" better than most kids (every kid) her age.  I can trust her to do just about anything I need help with, including changing diapers, making lunch, getting kids in bed, bathing kids, chores, you name it.  She has an adult spirit.  She even hangs out with the teachers during recess.  Ha!  What a crazy kid.  She has a very bright future.

a little hike

Someone told me about this great little hike in Centerville.  I can't believe I've lived here for practically my whole life and I never knew about this!  The kids loved it.

Nixon SKIED!!

After MANY attempts to get this kid up on the ski, he finally had the courage to try it today!  He did such a great job...until I asked them to turn the jet ski around and come past me so i could get a better picture....Nixon fell in.  I thought, "great, he'll never try this again".  Well as luck would have it, he fell in the water and saw Bruce, Dori and Marlin!  Yep, that's what he told us.  He was pretty stoked about it :)  The second his head came out of the water, he let everyone know.  Crazy kid :)  We sure love Pineview!!!
