July This & That

That time all the cousins slept over and we rode bikes to the pond the next day.  It was CRAZY madness, but I hope my kids remember I did this for them! That time Cam made me the most beautiful ego waffle breakfast and was so proud of herself :)  That time we got our first chicken egg!!  We hollowed out the egg and Cam kept the shell since it was from her chicken, Cachilla.  We fried up the egg and they all ate part of it.  So exciting!!  Playing with Boston and Gwen while Bos was going through Chemo.  He was NOT fun to be around.  So mean and hornery.  We were walking on eggshells and he almost had Nixon in tears.  But here's an update a year later.  He's all better and as sweet as pie. He and Nix are now in the same kindergarten class and are great friends still.  And lastly, Cal discovering life!  Trains, books with Kendyl, friends, chickens & horses.  We will never regret moving to such a beautiful place where our kids have endless opportunities to discover and play.

Missionary Parade

We got to be in the 24th of July parade with our ward.  We dressed up as missionaries.  I hope I never forget how cute Kendyl was, walking around showing her Book of Mormon to everyone there.  She is such a fun kid.  So much life, independence and fun.  Nixon was a little confused and decided that since we were dressing up, he should be a fireman.  He was so excited about it, I wasn't about to make him change :)

Schenk Reunion at Bear Lake

The weather wasn't amazing, but we managed to have a great time at an AMAZING house Michael built at Bear Lake.  We were lucky enough to get a great big bedroom for our whole fam.  We went boating the first day before the weather went crazy.  Nic was a day late because of work so I had hauled the boat up and Michael drove it.  We did our giant Bobble Head routine to "Say Geronimo"  we had it choreographed and everything.  It was AWESOME.  We went on a FREEZING cold 4-wheeler ride and got soaked.  But looking back, it was all so fun!  There were games every night, great food and awesome people.

Brave at the dentist

That time Nixon was a brave little soldier during his entire cavity filling...then ended up being the 1% of people that have this happen.  Poor kid.

Lagoon!

They have been wanting to go to Lagoon FOREVER, so when our friends, Jess and Jon Nelson, invited us with some cheap tickets, we were stoked!  Nic and the boys stayed for part of the day, then they left and went to McDonalds.  The girls and I stuck it out til the bitter end!  We had so much fun and were so tired by the end of the day.  And since we went on 7/11, we even tried to hit up Free Slurpees on our way home at midnight!  haha!  My girls were brave enough to go on most of the rides...but we'll save Cannibal for next year (line was crazy since the ride just opened).

Sellers at Pineview

Pineview weekend with the Sellers.  The lake was packed, but it didn't stop these kids from braving some "epic tubing rides".  They have so much fun together.  Lucky cousins.

4th of July in Soda

Such a fun 4th of July this year!  We spent the holiday with the extended Clark fam.  They rented a cabin and we all stayed there.  Brooklyn and I woke up early on the 4th and ran the 5k together.  She did great!  We kept Lilly with us too.  Finished in about 30 minutes.  Then we did the awesome parade, the carnival, a river run down the Snake River that dropped us right off at Wade's backyard.  We had a lip synch talent show- Camryn & Brooklyn did "Agony" from Into the Woods. Hilarious!  Goob was a crossdresser and sang his song in a bikini- Ha!  Lots of fun and games and we didn't want to leave at the end.
