OH BOY!!!

Sorry little man, but I had to post this!  We are beyond excited to be adding a 2nd little boy to the house!  I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been praying for a boy.  I just really wanted Nixon to have a brother to wrestle with and do all the other boy stuff with :)  We are definitely struggling in the baby naming department, but luckily we've got a few months.  Now what do we do with all those pink little girl clothes that I've been storing in the basement?  GARAGE SALE!  I'm terrified.  That will be a later post :)

July

July was jam packed.  Swimming lessons ran for a solid 2 weeks!  Nixon and I did a parent-tot class but I didn't take any pictures.  The girls are AWESOME swimmers.  I'm so relieved.  Nixon is stubborn.  He didn't want to do anything the teacher asked....until lessons were over and we were outside in the other pool.  He is a bit of a stinker these days!!!  We were also able to go on a couple RAZOR rides up by the B.  We almost got struck by lightning and swamped by rain the 2nd time...but we still managed to roast some hotdogs and have some fun before the storm hit :)  We played in the pool, painted faces, enjoyed a Papa visit, went to a 24th of July parade and did some fireworks at our house with the neighbors, and just found ways to stay busy.  I love July and I'm sad to see it go :(  Summer is coming to a close and it makes me sick!

4th of July

We went to St. George with my family for the 4th.  It was SOOOO hot! Like, 113 degrees hot!  We stayed in the pool 90% of the time and it was actually really nice to swim that much.  We made sure we hit up a parade (it was terrible), went to see fireworks (they were awesome) and did some of our own in the driveway (babies were terrified and ran inside).  We also saw Mary Poppins at Tuacahn while we were there. The kids loved it and we actually didn't melt :)  Oh yea, the Boys 2 Men tour bus passed us on our way down there.  I was excited.

Special K's

It's a rare occasion when I hang out with my cousins.  Katy lives in Oregon, Kacy lives in Arizona, and Kari (who didn't get to come because of work) is in Idaho.  It was nice to have a mini reunion while our mom's all had a sisters' reunion all week.  We took this picture at Station Park one evening where we just hung out by the fountains and chatted until midnight :)
