Steff's St. Patrick's Day

You'll see at the end why this St. Patrick's Day is Steff's. So I decided to go all out this year with the green food. The day started off with the Leprechaun leaving us some hot GREEN cinnamon rolls and a banana on the porch. No, we don't understand why he leaves us a banana each year :) Then we brought them in to eat and noticed that the dang Leprechaun had made a mess of the house...obviously searching for gold. The kids were stoked about that.

Next on the list, we put on our green outfits and went to Daddy's soccer game. Nic plays on an indoor team with a bunch of people from our ward. He scored 4 goals...yep, we're proud. Nixon gets passed from little girl to little girl. Such a flirt ;)

We got home and had our green lunch. Tuna fish sandwiches (dyed green of course), green juice, green apples and green jigglers. (yes, they humored me and allowed me to take their pictures with their food all day....they were starting to get weirded out by it all at this point).

Lastly, our dinner. It was delicious.

Did I post all of this to show you how awesome I am?? ABSOLUTELY!!! But honestly, no, I'm not awesome at all, but perhaps the biggest loser ever. I spent hours making all this food the night before in hopes that my kids would be so pumped to eat green food all day. Did they really care? Maybe at breakfast. By dinner time when I busted out the food and said, "Who wants their green dinner!?" Camryn said to me, "Why are you so pumped about having everything green?" I just kind of stood there and said, "I don't know.". Lesson learned. I completely wasted my time and energy on the whole green theme, but at least we had some good leftovers to eat. When I asked them what their favorite thing about St. Patrick's day was, they replied, "When the leprechaun messed up our house!" You know, the part that took 5 seconds. So good job Steff, I hope you humored yourself with all your green food...you dweeb.

Kendyl & Jakey

Check out this cute little duo. They are buddies, in and out of church. On my way to my classroom at church, I spotted these two escapies, hand in hand, walking down the hallway. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. I think Jakey was looking for his Dad, and Kendyl was along for the ride. I escorted them back to their classroom where their teacher hadn't even noticed they were gone.....she's an older lady ;)

Later that day, I had this conversation with Kendyl
Me- "Do you love Jakey?"
K- "Mm Hmm. He's my friend. I'm not in love with him. I just hold his hand."

Haha! Can't get enough of my funny, spunky little Kendyl babe.

Love. Love. Spring.

Sean's Mission Call

So proud of Nic's brother, Sean. He's going to be such a powerful missionary! And hopefully he won't get too homesick ;) Salt Lake City!  (youtube video Sean's mission call)

Nixon. 9 months young.

Weight: 17 lbs 5%
Length: 27 3/4 25%
Head: 18 1/4 75%

He's done it again! He got another month older ;( He's a pretty typical 9 month old! BUSY BUSY BUSY!! Always crawling and standing, in search of something small to put in his mouth. He's recently sprouted his bottom 2 teeth. He drools a little and talks a lot! He's already had 2 haircuts. He's happy most of the time, unless he's sick. He's as handsome as can be and I could just stare at his chubby little face all day long. He's a mama's boy and no matter where I go, he'll find me and come stand at my legs. His sisters can't help but pick him up and carry him around the house any chance they get. He's mister popular around here. We continue to fall more in love with our little man every day.
