Sellers

Remember this crowd? Scott was in town for one day for a wedding so we met up at Z Tejas for dinner. The grandkids needed babysitters so our husbands volunteered to stay home and watch them. It's been a long time since the 6 of us hung out like this!

Messy Miss

Kendyl rarely has a clean face. I clean it off after meals, but I just let her do her thing for the rest of the day. This child has a condition called "I eat EVERYTHING and ANYTHING I come across". It's untreatable. Among her favorites are: sand (still), paint, erasers, chapstick, markers, gravel, chalk and most recently...sewing needles, that was a scary one. I guess the mineral-rich items entice her the most. Anyway, her face is always covered in whatever she's eating. When you combine that with her wispy, bird feather hair, she looks pretty orphan like. Bless her heart. We love her.

The final cut... I swear

Chopped

Usually when I'm ready for a change, I just change the color. I needed something more this time. Nic's the one who got the wheels turning in my head when he told me he liked Mia Michael's hair (the judge on So You Think You Can Dance). REALLY??!! I never would have guessed he'd go for that! He kept telling me to get an edgy hair cut. I finally buckled under the pressure, spent 2 days looking up haircuts online, and then asked Ashley to chop it off for me. She cut off about 7 inches on Monday, then she cut some more off a week later... after I'd had time to get used to short hair. So there you have it! You'd better watch out because I'm alot bossier and mean with this haircut ;)

Dog Days of Summer

OK, so there are a couple reasons my posts are becoming a bit more scarce, and a bit more boring. #1- We haven't done anything too exciting lately. #2- I don't take many pictures anymore now that my camera has lost the ability to zoom. Thanks Kendyl for dropping the camera!

Anyway, here's a mess of pictures that we've taken in the last couple weeks. Nic finally entered the Smart Phone world and got himself a Droid, so I guess that has helped a bit with the pictures issue.

We made catepillars out of egg cartons last week. You know you're bored when you start making crafts you saw on Barney.

I took a Christ statue to church last week for a lesson I was teaching in YW. Kendyl found the statue when we got home and wouldn't stop hugging it. Haha.

Scott's kids were all here last week for a family reunion. So, all the cousins were invited to Grandma's house one day to swim and play. They obviously had fun.

We went boating yesterday and had a blast! We were seriously the only boat on Utah lake. We still haven't figured out why it was so empty! Was there a Nessy sighting? Oil spill? Well whatever the reason was, we were happy to have the lake to ourselves! And it's always nice to have Ashley and Ryan with us.

The girls have been asking to do pedicures ever since they heard about them from our neighbor, Whitney. We busted out the "foot salon" today and they enjoyed flooding the bathroom and washing my feet with all my hotel soap and lotion. And yes, my hair is shorter...and I appear about 12 years old in this picture. Weird.

{ 7 }

I can't believe Nic and I have been married for 7 years. I can't believe my parents allowed their 20 year old daughter to get married!! But seriously, I'm glad they did. Nic is NOT one I'd have wanted to lose. He's certainly a catch in every way, shape and form.

We were lucky enough to have my parents take the girls to the cabin on Friday and Saturday so Nic and I could escape and enjoy some time together. We checked into the Hilton in Salt Lake that night and just layed their and enjoyed our freedom for a few minutes before taking off to dinner. We ate at Lonestar...I know, not very romantic, but that's what we felt like eating. After that we shopped a little, then returned to the hotel to soak in the hot tub for a bit. The next morning, we got ready and headed over to Nic's favorite little bakery called Johny Kolache's. It's on 900 S. in Salt Lake. YUMMY. I've been wanting to go to the Farmer's Market at Pioneer Park for a long time so we headed there next. It was PACKED!! Way cool though. I highly recommend it. Since the weather wasn't looking too promising, we decided to veto the Cowabunga Bay idea and just head home. Being the nerds we are, we headed to the gym and worked out together (we NEVER get to go together). We cut our workout short so we could hit the 1:30 showing of "The Other Guys". Funny...basically what you could expect from a Will Ferrell movie. After that was a little more shopping, then dinner at "Salt Lake Burger Co." Way good. The rest of the evening was spent relaxing (tubby time for me) and just being kid-free until about 9:00 when the children were returned. They had a blast at the cabin with Grandma and Grandpa.

So there you have it. Unfortunately, I didn't bust out the camera for any of this. Wasn't really top on my list. Here's to another year of marital bliss!!
