Grandma & Grandpa's Halloween Party

The most anticipated party of the year :)  This year, we DECKED out Grandma and Grandpa's Trunk-or-Treat room at the church (raining outside so had to decorate a classroom).  It was a creepy haunted house. The next day was Mom & Dad's party at their house for the Grandkids.  It's always a much anticipated event.  You can always plan on games in the pool room, a parade and yummy treats.  We appreciate Grandma and Grandpa doing this every year and we'll miss not doing it next year while they're on their mission!

Life is Busy

I'm officially maxed out.  I don't have enough hours in the day to get everything done that I'd like.  I have kids going in a million different directions and I'm trying to keep up on the yard and house.  I'm beyond blessed to have Nic home for the bulk of the day.  A normal day starts at 5am.  I'm at the gym, then get home at 7am.  Get the kids' lunches together and get them ready for school.  Get them to school.  Come home and get ready and clean up and feed Calvy and get him ready.  Pick up Nixon.  Feed the boys.  Try and run some errands.  Finish housework.  Get girls from school.  Get them to play practice or lessons...or make them practice.  Get dinner going.  Yada yada yada.  I just don't know how people have time to sit....

Sweet little Kendyl

Yes, this girl can be a stinker.  She has a mind of her own....clearly.  But she can also be the cutest and sweetest little thing in the world.  Like when I found her wearing my sweatshirt and her cowgirl hat, reading the Book of Mormon while she was supposed to be cleaning her room.

Sacrament Meeting performance, "Miracle"

I don't think a Mom could be more proud than I was today.  My kids performed the sweetest song in sacrament meeting.  Cam on the violin, B on the piano, and the other 3 on vocal.  Kendyl sang the whole song, Nixon sang the chorus with her, and Cal chimed in when he remembered to :)  He also had a few other remarks to make in the mic, "Nixon, you have a tattoo on your hand!"  Oh man, it was the best.  They performed again at home so I could make a video.  Nana and Grandma and Grandpa Schenk came to watch and stayed for dinner and cake afterward.  The girls made the cake all by themselves and lucky for us, we got to celebrate Grandpa's birthday with it!  Such a special day.

Super Saturday

These cute girls wanted to make a little snowman craft at RS Super Saturday.  We stayed for a couple hours in between soccer games.  I'm on the committee so soccer games made it a little tricky for me to be there all day.  Nana came too and we made Christmas tree advent calendars.  I love having 3 daughters and I can't wait for us to be best friends in the years to come.

Questival!

This might take the cake for the craziest thing I've ever done.  Ashley Dickamore and Jamie Ostrander got this crazy idea to enter the Questival race and there were 5 of us crazy enough to join them!  It's a 24 hour race in which you have to complete as many challenges as you're able.  This list was a mile long so it was hard to organize and choose the best challenges that were worth the most points.  We had to take video or picture with our team flag and submit each challenge.  We were all over the map in that short 24 hours.  We got a little shut eye at Holly's house, but not much.  We camped, swam, ran a mile, milked a goat, hiked to a waterfall, sang to strangers, soaked in Saratoga Hotsprings, Harassed the chefs at a diner, made total fools of ourselves, made lots of music videos, planted trees, unicycled, cooked, got kicked out of stores, met celebrities, I could go on and on and on.  It was WILD but we loved every minute of it.  We were in 10th place out of 378 when our time ran out....but after the judges went through each of our entries, we ended up in 45th place.  I guess we weren't holding up our flag in a bunch of pictures.  Dang!  Well we'll be back for our revenge next year....as the oldest ones there!  haha.  And yes, those are bikinis over sweats.  Hot stuff.  Thanks, Ash, Jamie, Brooke, McCall, Beth, Nichole and AnnMarie!
